Intertexuality in media terms is using someone else's idea that they have used and to then interpretate it into there idea. A example of this is " Taylor Swift - Love Story " as it has refrence to the well known shakespeare play "Romeo & Juiliet". The music video avoids things that make it look too modern, but definatly keeps the theme of a young coupkle who cannot be together and she in this video singer of from a castle. They then soon after meet in the woods and kiss, which is identicle as the well known play. Also Taylor Swift actually brings up the play in her lyrics are states " That you were Romero, you were throwing pebbles, And my daddy said stay away from juilet" and again in the next verse "Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone" This shows that this song is based souly on the story of Romeo & Juilet .
Our influence for our music video is the film Alic in wonderland as one of the lyrics in the song says "Do we chase the rabbit into wonderland" so we may use this as a running theme, in terms of costume and make up for example.
